Five Can't Miss July 4th 2022 Events on Long Island

Posted at Fri, Jun 10, 2022 9:00 AM

Now that summer is in full swing, it is time to look forward to what it holds. One of our biggest summer celebrations is the 4th of July, which means there is plenty to do no matter where you are. Here on Long Island, there are tons of July 4th events – it is just a matter of finding some that appeal to you. Whether you are looking for something family oriented or something for adults, there is no shortage and to help you out, we here at Westbury Toyota have looked up a few July 4th events that caught our eye.

Independence Day at Flynn’s Fire Island

If you’re hoping to have some July 4th fun in the sun, look no further than Flynn’s Fire Island in Ocean Bay Park. This waterfront eatery also serves as a day-club and bar, and serves up some spectacular seafood while putting on drinking games and live music from different DJs. There will also be a lot more to look forward to! The party will start at noon on July 4 and will continue until 8:00 p.m., so get ready for an entire day of celebration. For more information and to purchase your tickets, be sure to visit the event’s website.

Stars Over Montauk 2022

This free event will take place at Umbrella Beach and will start at 9:00 p.m. sharp. This July 4th fireworks show promises to be incredible and makes it a great choice for families or groups of friends. The best viewing locations are said to be in town, so be sure to get there early enough to save a spot for you and your group.

The Empire State Fair

While the Empire State Fair isn’t a July 4th-centric event, it is still open on the 4th so it counts! There is so much to do at the fair that you may need more than one day to cover it all. There are fast, high-intensity carnival rides for the thrill seekers among you and slower, gentler rides for those who prefer something a little more low-key. The fair also has a ton of different types of carnival food, a petting zoo, a circus, live entertainment, an exotic animal zoo, and nightly fireworks. Why not celebrate July 4 at a place that has everything you could possibly want for a celebration?

Harbes Fourth of July Celebration

If you are in search of some family fun for this upcoming Independence Day, consider the Harbes Fourth of July Celebration. Taking place at the Harbes Family Farm near Mattituck, you and the kinds can participate in a musical hayride tour across the 100-acre farm, as well as the famous pig races! There will also be farm animals to look at, a bounce pillow zone, sports games such as baseball and football, a trike track, and a hedge maze – and that is just to name a few! There will also be free live music to enjoy, so don’t miss out!

July 4th Block Party

Taking place in Deer Park, this block party has a little something for everyone. It is a food festival that will have farm fresh vendors with plenty of wares to sample and buy, and later on in the day some of the best food trucks in Long Island will be making an appearance. There will also be live music starting at noon and plenty of things to do for the family, including face painting, balloon animals, photo opportunities, stilt walkers, and more!

Long Island Independence Day

As you can tell, there will be a lot of things going on during the holiday weekend on Long Island. If you plan carefully, you might be able to hit up more than one event to really get your celebration on! Be sure to grab your friends and/or family and hit up some of these amazing Long Island Fourth of July events!
