Five Upcoming Long Island Halloween Events You Won’t Want to Miss

The scariest season of the year is fast approaching, which means that you don’t have much time to figure out your Halloween plans. Fortunately, we here at Westbury Toyota have you covered – we’ve assembled a quick list of five can’t-miss spooky and fun events that will let you enjoy Halloween to its fullest. The best part? All of these events take place right here on Long Island!

Biggest Halloween Party in Long Island at Westbury Space Theatre

Taking place right here at home, this party promises to be one of the most incredible Halloween celebrations that Long Island has ever seen. The Space Theatre in Westbury is an incredible, state of the art facility and is more than suited to host a Halloween party of this size. It takes place on October 25th, and advance tickets are $25 per person, which is a pretty reasonable price given that the party will have live performances and DJs and a costume contest with a $1000 prize. If you’re looking to have a night out with a group of your friends, the following bottle specials are available too:

  • Child’s Play ($500) - Two premium bottles and one bottle of house champagne.
  • Walking Dead ($750) - Three premium bottles and two bottles of house champagne.
  • The Exorcist ($1000) - Four premium bottles and three bottles of house champagne.

It’s being hailed as “The biggest Halloween party in Long Island” for a reason, so don’t miss out! Check the event website for more details.

Halloween Ball in Hempstead House

If you want to do Halloween in true style, you need to check out the 2019 Halloween Ball: Dreams and Nightmares that’s taking place on October 26th at Hempstead House. This fundraising event will be unlike anything else you’ve ever attended. At 6:00 P.M. Nightmare Hour commences for the VIP Victims, and an hour later is general entry followed by cocktails and hors d’oeuvres in the mansion itself. At 8:00 P.M. the Dinner of Atrocities begins (with food for both vegetarians and meat-lovers!), and at 9:00 P.M. there will be dessert and dancing. The recommended dress code is to wear sleepwear in keeping with the theme. Be sure to check out the website for even more details.

Sapphire Halloween Costume Party

Ever wanted to attend a costume party on a yacht? If so, then we can definitely point you in the right direction: Freeport on October 25th and 26th. In addition to the obvious costume contest, partygoers will benefit from an open bar, passed appetizers, and a live DJ. There are some great prizes for the costume contest and a bunch of other fun Halloween activities to participate in, as well. Tickets start at $75 per person (plus tax and gratuity), so be sure to nab yours before they sell out!

Deepwells Haunted Mansion 2019

There is nothing more suited to Halloween than a haunted house experience and lucky for you, there’s going to be one nearby very soon. The Deepwells Haunted Mansion in St. James will be open every Friday and Saturday throughout the month until October 26th. Admission is $10 per person and attendees will be able to explore the creepy ambience of not only the mansion itself but the wooded paths outside as well. This is a great Halloween excursion for a group of friends or for family (not recommended for very young children).

Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns at Old Westbury

Perhaps the most family-friendly fall and Halloween event you’ll find on Long Island is the Rise of the Jack O’Lanterns at Old Westbury Gardens. For the eighth year in a row there will be more than 5,000 carved pumpkins on display along a very scenic garden path. In addition, visitors can get a look at what equates to a jack o’lantern factory and get an inside look at how this incredible amount of pumpkins is expertly carved and put on display. Advance tickets are required, so be sure to get them as soon as you can.
