The tower is a central point of all the air show demonstrations, so you’ll be able to see the Air Force’s Thunderbirds and the Navy’s Blue Angels perform their breathtaking precision flying routines from a VIP perspective. The airshow cruises are available from May 26th to May 27th and run from 12:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Decoration Day

Decoration Day, which takes place at Old Bethpage Village Restoration, lets you see and experience Memorial Day as it was in the 1870s. In addition to a parade, there will be ceremonies and demonstrations involving historic crafts. A brass band concert will also take place. Decoration Day offers up a solemn, respectful glimpse into the lives of past soldiers, as well as honoring those who currently serve the country. This event takes place on May 26th and runs from 10:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

Ronkonkoma’s Second Annual Memorial Day Weekend Street Fair

There will be a plethora of vendors selling all kinds of things, so make sure you’re ready to shop until you drop! Ronkonkoma will also have a Memorial Day parade for your viewing pleasure on May 28th.

As you walk through the flags you can stop to read fascinating bits of American history. Additionally, there will be a guided tour and the event will conclude with the retirement of the flags (if weather permits).
