A soft reboot of the Transformers franchise, “Bumblebee” offers just what you’d expect: A lot of battle scenes, transforming robots, and explosions. However, it also offers a surprisingly heartwarming story of a young girl who develops an unshakeable bond with a wounded warrior from another planet. This movie is suitable for families or for adults, and you can catch it at sunset on Thursday, August 1st at the Jones Beach Bandshell. There’s plenty to do in the area, so why not make plans for the entire day by hiking the Jones Beach Boardwalk before capping off the night by watching “Bumblebee?”
